What If I Fell Into A Black Hole? 20 min 🥣 Ingredients For the filling: 🔺 200 g walnuts (lightly toasted and finely chopped) 🔺 100 g sugar 🔺 2 egg whites 🔺 2–3 tbsp jam (apricot works great) For the dough: 🔺 150 g butter, melted and cooled 🔺 100 g powdered sugar 🔺 1 egg yolk 🔺 8 g vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract) 🔺 100 g sour cream or plain yogurt (room temperature) 🔺 350–380 g all-purpose flour 🔺 10 g baking powder 🔺 Pinch of salt (this was missing — but trust me, it matters 😉) 👩🍳 Instructions 1️⃣ Prepare the filling: Toast the walnuts lightly in a dry pan or oven, then chop them finely. Mix with sugar, egg whites, and jam until well combined. 2️⃣ Make the dough: In a bowl, mix melted butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, vanilla sugar, and sour cream until smooth. 3️⃣ Gradually add flour mixed with baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix until you get a soft, slightly non-sticky dough. 4️⃣ Cover the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes. 5️⃣ Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). 6️⃣ Divide the dough into 3 parts, making one slightly larger. 7️⃣ Roll out the largest piece and place it into a 22 cm (9-inch) pan, lightly greased or lined with parchment. 8️⃣ Spread half of the filling evenly over the base. 9️⃣ Roll out the second piece of dough and place it on top. Gently seal the edges. 🔟 Add the remaining filling, then cover with the final layer of dough. Seal edges again. 1️⃣1️⃣ Brush the top with egg yolk and decorate with a fork or knife pattern ✨ 1️⃣2️⃣ Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown. 1️⃣3️⃣ Let it cool completely in the pan before slicing (this helps it set properly A timeless dessert made the simple village way — soft, rich walnut cake baked with care 🥧🌰 In this video, we prepare a homemade walnut cake using basic ingredients and traditional techniques that bring out deep, comforting flavors.
