They 3D printed what?! 🤯 #3dprinting #matterhackers #engineering 2 分钟 Aladdin Jammal’s house had a simple but very relatable problem: a large backyard that, despite its potential, was not truly being used. The space existed, but it did not support daily life. It lacked shade in key areas, lacked clear organization, and offered no real connection among its different zones. Instead of functioning as an extension of the house, it felt like a separate, unfinished environment. From there, the approach was to understand how the space should be used. The planning was driven by questions rather than aesthetics: Where would you cook if you wanted to stay outside all day? Where would people gather comfortably? How do you move from one area to another without interruption? And most importantly, how do you make the space usable regardless of sun, heat, or time of day? These questions shaped a strategy where each intervention has a clear role, and nothing is added without purpose. Then, instead of committing to a single fixed design, the entire backyard was conceived as a series of interconnected modules. Each one solved a specific need while remaining adaptable. By the end, this will allow the couple to build progressively, control the budget, and adjust decisions based on real use over time. In other words, this project is about building a system that turns an underused space into a central part of everyday life. And, at the same time, it feels like an oniric paradise.
