The Interview (2026) | A Seedance 2.0 Exploration | 4K AI Short Film
20265 min
How far are we from natural acting in AI films? In this film, a woman is interviewed about the moment she broke the rules. No distractions. Only her face and her voice will tell the truth.
My first test reel using Bytedance’s new AI video model, Dreamina Seedance 2.0. The film was made possible thanks to the Dreamina CPP (Creative Partners Program), which gave me early access to the model. I was particularly keen to test out more low-key, realistic, character-centered cinematic scenes. Dreamina Seedance 2.0 is a significant improvement on its already cinematic and breezy predecessor. It’s an amazing model in terms of its ability to understand complex and controlled prompts, its free and imaginative power when you let it do stuff on its own, and its ability to keep 15 seconds of video, audio, and dialogue completely consistent.
Disclosure: After I had finished the video and showed it to the Dreamina team, they were happy to include “The Interview” in their Seedance 2.0 launch campaign.
Character Concept created by Midjourney V8 Proto, Keyframes made with Gemini 3 Pro Image (Nano Banana Pro), clips shot with Dreamina Seedance 2.0, Image Upscale with Topaz Photo, Color Grading with Dehancer Pro.
