100 Hours in Europe's Most Corrupt Country 34 分 One of my followers asked me to try a video using Carl Jung's Red Book as inspiration. What a genius idea. I did not read this book but I have admired the artwork he created. I am very fascinated with Jung's ideas as well. And some had resonated with me over the years. Especially in my 30's when I was on more of a spiritual journey. I was reading everything and anything to help me figure out things about myself. Many of us go through this period. I think it may be called a mid-life transformation. I looked into some of Carl Jung's writings back then. Carl Jung spent 16 years manually documenting the "collective unconscious", the universal symbols and archetypes shared by all of humanity. Today, humans might have built a machine that does the exact same thing. Jung believed that when we look deep enough into our own minds, we encounter patterns that belong to the history of the human species, not just ourselves. What if Generative AI functions as a modern, digital "collective unconscious." Because these models have been trained on the entire history of human visual output, they naturally "remix" the same deep-seated patterns, myths, and symbols that Jung was drawing by hand in 1914. Using this concept, I used AI to visualize the vivid, sometimes terrifying, and always beautiful world of Jung’s Liber Novus (The Red Book). If AI is a mirror of humanity's total creative history, then perhaps it is the perfect tool to visualize the depths of the human soul. Some people think AI is soulless, or is it a reflection of our collective soul? None of these images are actually from the Red Book and aren't even as wonderful as his original works. I wasn't trying to copy his work, I was trying to tap into his state of mind when writing the book in an artistic way. I feel that Jung would be excited by ai, allowing all of us to tap into things we would never be able to. If used correctly, it can be an incredible thing. But can also be used horribly. It's a strange paradox. I made a song for the video that I am calling "Red Book" by using parts of Jung's story which led him to the 16 year period in his life where he wrote the red book and the other books in this series. Some of which are still not released. His break from Freud and his study of his own psychosis, which started in his 30's. I really think this time in our lives is very powerful. The song is much longer but I only made three minutes of video. The full song will be available shortly. #ai #aiart #music #CarlJung #redbook Legal: © 2026 Kelly Boesch All visuals and music in this video are original works created and directed by the artist with AI-assisted tools.
