Onyx: The Dark Grip had previously surfaced through a trademark registered by Bloober Team, with the project linked to the studio’s slate of original single-player horror games. Bloober has described its core productions as premium single-player horror experiences built around strong gameplay foundations and deeper emotional or social themes.
The reveal arrives during Nintendo’s September 9 showcase, which focuses on upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 games. Bloober Team has continued expanding its horror lineup following Cronos: The New Dawn and its work on the Silent Hill series.
