This film was shot in 2024 by filmmaker Robert Hofmeyr using a RED Komodo 6K camera, a DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone, and professional field audio equipment. This setup allowed him to capture steady ground footage, smooth aerial views, and clean, natural sound. The focus of the filming was to show wildlife and landscapes exactly as they appear in nature, without staging, effects, or artificial enhancements.

Did you know that Zebras are instantly recognizable by their black-and-white stripes, but no two zebras share the same pattern — each stripe arrangement is completely unique, much like a human fingerprint. Scientists believe their stripes may help deter biting insects by disrupting visual perception, while also confusing predators during group movement. When zebras stand together, their striped bodies create a shifting optical illusion that makes it harder for lions and other predators to single out one individual. In Botswana’s floodplains and grasslands, zebras often migrate seasonally in search of fresh grazing and water, forming part of one of Africa’s great wildlife movements.
