We resume things in the garden shed of Stanton Lacy village hall (which I've since learned is bizarrely 3 miles from the actual village of Stanton Lacy) having taken refuge there from an ominous thunderstorm. What lay beyond was 28 more miles of the most gorgeous, Tolkien-esque landscapes you can imagine, and while the footpaths would improve massively, the tasks at hand seemed to get no easier.
