Winter walk with snow through small town to forest temple in Tottori, Japan. I was looking for areas with snow for a morning walk with a winter feel and I found this small town of Wakasa with its forested temple just outside of town and flowing canals within. I arrived a little later than I was anticipating as I was distracted by a beautiful sunrise over misty snow covered mountains just a few minutes outside of town. I pulled over to grab those few aerial shots in the intro, and was tempted to just walk there, but ultimately I decided to go with my scouted plan and head to Wakasa. There were some beautiful little villages in the mountains around the town though and I suspect I will be inspired to pass through this area again.
