Built to house the Lantern Core, a fragment of a collapsed star designed to regulate localized climate, the project was abandoned after a catastrophic systems failure. Since that day, the surrounding region has remained trapped in a perpetual state of fall. The air is heavy and still, broken only by the occasional unnatural breeze. Leaves drift endlessly through the fog but never pile up. The trees no longer grow, nor do they die. Inside the structure, power remains active, systems loop in silence, and corridors glow with a soft ember-red light, frozen in time. The season has not changed in years.
